Christmas Shoebox — Missions’ Ministry
This year’s Christmas Shoebox outreach will be held on Saturday, December 8th, in Baja California, Mexico. Please pray about participating by preparing a shoebox. For those interested in going to Mexico in support of the distribution event, there will be a meeting on Sunday, November 18th, at 1:30 pm in the Gymnasium. Please direct questions to Pastor Tony Scotti.
Note: Collection of shoeboxes are being taken in the Foyer. List of suggested items and packing instructions are also available in the Foyer or the Front Office.
Rehearsals begin on Sunday, November 18th, at 1:30 pm for the Christmas Choir. Adults will meet in the Sanctuary, and children will meet in the Joppa Room. While the Teens’ rehearsal will begin at 2:30 pm, in the Gymnasium. Please see Pastors Fernando Gonzalez, Diego Festa or Sam Tirado with any questions.
We will have a special Thanksgiving Service on Wednesday, November 21st at 7:00 pm, in the Sanctuary. The Office will be closed Thursday and Friday, and all ministries that usually take place on those days will be canceled as well.
Youth Ministry Day Hike
The Youth Ministry will be taking a day hike the day after Thanksgiving on Friday, November 23rd up at Chantry Flats in Arcadia (parking permits required). They will be meeting at 8:30 am at the Parking Entrance, and pick-up will be at 12:30 pm. Bring a sack lunch, water, hiking shoes, and your Bible. Permission slips are available in the Front Office. Please direct inquiries to Pastor Diego Festa.
Movie Presentation — ‘Death of a Nation’
Join us Sunday evening November 25th for Dinesh D’Souza’s most recent contribution to the dialogue of American Culture. Inspired by the turbulent events of the 2016 presidential election. ‘America,’ D’Souza’s film reveals an eerie similarity between the situations faced by President Trump now and the situations faced by President Lincoln in 1860. The movie will start promptly at 6:00 pm (ages 9 and above only). Sorry child care is not available.
Men’s Bible Study
Join with the men of the church for our Men’s Bible Study. This year we will be covering the Old Testament books of Judges and Ruth. The content promises to be electrifying as we examine the parallels to our current world situation. Come Tuesday Evenings at 7:00 pm, in the Fellowship Hall.
Women’s Bible Study
The Women’s weekly Bible study is under way. They meet on Tuesday Evenings at 7:00 pm, in the Sanctuary. They will be studying the “Gospel of John, Part One: The Public Ministry of Jesus” a study through the book of John. Please plan to join us for an in-depth look at God’s Word. You must be 16 years old or older to attend. Child care will be available.
