Youth Ministry Summer Retreat 2008
"Don't Freak out, God knows what you need"
Luke 12:29-30

This world is constantly bombarding our youth with all that it has, trying to get their attention, and in the process distracting them from what God has for them.
As we looked at all of Luke 12 throughout the four days that we spent at McGrath State Beach in Ventura, CA; we saw the difference of what the world has to offer and how the world anxiously seeks (Freak out) after these things, and how the Lord wants us to Seek Him and not be concerned with what this world is concerned about. That our primary focus as believers is our relationship with our Lord and Saviour and how a life lived for Him, without distractions, is used for God's glory.

The weather was great, the waves a little on the big side, food was excellent, new friendships were made, but most importantly, the Spirit of God, through His Word ministered to all of our hearts and dealt with us where we were at.

Looking forward to what else the Lord will do with the remainder of the Summer.
