Kids
Camp 2008 “Faithfulness” 1 Corinthians
4:2
A few thoughts from this years Kids Camp.
There is something leading up to camp that never
ceases to amaze me, it’s how God places it
into the hearts of those in the body to sponsor
a child to go to camp. Even up to the day of leaving
for camp there was one child in particular who was
waiting for a sponsorship and at the last moment
one came through and he was able to go.
Every
year there are new challenges awaiting both child
and counselor. This year was no exception, but
by God’s grace those challenges become opportunities.
Our theme this year really encouraged us in those
areas. For example we saw children serving other
children and in serving new relationships where
developed. It allowed for children who where normally
quiet to interact with some of the kids in their
groups. But, more importantly we learned examples
of faithfulness & unfaithfulness through character
studies we found in scripture. We strive to make
sure that the name of Jesus is lifted up in every
camp, because it’s through Him that live
and move and have our being.
Activities
are fun, but Jesus is funner!
